Vedior is pleased to announce the launch of a new permanent recruitment initiative in partnership with Staff Service Group, the largest recruitment company in Japan*.

Based in Tokyo, Vedior Career Inc. will commence full-scale operations on 1st October providing dedicated permanent placement services throughout Japan with a focus on delivering a quality recruitment service enhanced by career counselling, skill transition advice, seminars and training programmes.

Vedior owns 51% of Vedior Career Inc. with the remaining shares held by Staff Service Group and local management. Vedior has committed ¥1 billion (€7.3 million) to fund development costs and provide working capital.

In recent years, Vedior has been growing its business in Japan through both organic and acquisitive means and the launch of Vedior Career represents one more step in Vedior’s ongoing expansion plans in this market. The Japanese recruitment industry currently has relatively low penetration rates but is beginning to mature. The market offers significant growth opportunities led by increasing deregulation, ongoing industry restructuring, compelling demographic trends and an improving economy.

Vedior already provides recruitment services in Japan in the healthcare sector, under the brand Supernurse, and outplacement services, under the brand Fairplace Japan.
